Protect Yourself Financially If Your Home Is Damaged By Fire, Flood Or Other Disaster
The Disaster Recovery Plan pays your monthly mortgage payment—and much more—when a disaster strikes and forces you to move out of your home.
Did you know that if a disaster strikes and forces you to move out of your home, you may still be responsible for making your monthly mortgage payment…NOT your homeowners insurance company. Unfortunately, it’s only after disaster strikes that many people discover that they have gaps in their protection.
The Disaster Recovery plan protects you by paying your monthly mortgage payment and reimbursing your homeowners deductible. It even helps pay off your outstanding mortgage balance in the event the land is deemed uninhabitable and your home cannot be repaired or replaced due to a covered event. You also have the option to purchase additional coverage that will add even more protection. Click on the icons below for more details on each of these benefits.
3 Way Protection
MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENT
We will pay your monthly mortgage payment for up to 24 months when damages from a covered disaster force you from your home for 48 hours or longer. Benefits are payable only if good efforts toward rebuilding or repair of your home begin within 90 days of the covered loss and continue on a regular basis.
OUTSTANDING MORTGAGE BALANCE
We will pay off your outstanding mortgage balance up to a maximum of $250,000 if your home is deemed permanently uninhabitable and no other insurance plan covers the full balance of your mortgage. Permanently uninhabitable coverage is excess insurance meaning any other insurance that can be applied to pay off the mortgage will be used first. Permanently uninhabitable coverage only applies in the event of condemnation of the land or movement of the land on which your property exists which permanently prohibits repair or reconstruction.
REIMBURSES YOUR HOMEOWNERS DEDUCTIBLE
We will reimburse your homeowners deductible up to twice a year to a maximum of $1,000. Actual benefit amount is based upon your homeowners policy deductible when a disaster forces you from your home for 48 hours or longer.
During Ike I suffered a great deal of damage. Ace was quick to come to my aid and provide the coverage they promised.
The main reason I have coverage is for storm and lightning surges. I pay through my mortgage company. I turned my receipts into ACE and they send the deductible. They’re very courteous and polite. They are always on the ball with sending out the check. I've had them for years now. I will continue to have them as long as I have a house.
I had an experience, the city I live in had a snowstorm last year. The lights were out 5 to 6 days. I called them and received assistance for being out of my home. I was glad I chose Ace. They were very prompt with getting back to me, taking care of all the details and sending me the checks.
I had no problem. They paid the deductible back. They didn't give me a hassle. I just had to do the paper work one time. I would recommend ACE to anybody. No run around.
We had an ice storm and had to go to a motel for two days. I called the 800 number and I had to fax them receipts from the hotel. Within two weeks I had a check to reimburse me for the money I put out. I like the company, the people were really nice to deal with. They made sure I was taken care of; I had a check within two weeks. I've recommended the company to several people. I know for a fact now that four of them have policies with the company.
Our house got flooded in 2004. They were able to help out with our deductible with our flood insurance. They treated us good. They even helped out with our mortgage payment for the month.
Overall I needed them because I was a flood victim. They were very courteous, very prompt in payment and very helpful. I would recommend them to anybody. I wouldn't be without it.
We had rain and wind damage and without ACE insurance we wouldn't have made it. They were on the ball, when people are in trouble they are very helpful and you were on it more than my other insurance carrier.
When our house caught on fire we didn't have any problems putting in a claim. We notified the company and they in return got us a representative. We had no problem.
They do what they say they will do.
I'm thankful for ACE at the time I needed them they stepped up to the plate. I'm very thankful they sent me out a check within 5 business days which helped with personal and property damage. I will recommend ACE to anyone. They stand by their policy.
I think they are a very good service and everyone should have them for disaster insurance. I have had them for over 30 years.
